Three short stories and a memoir by four different authors: The coldroom (হিমঘর)— short story by Abhijit Sen, translated by Chhanda Chattopadhyay Bewtra : "Begum silently searched through the car window for her lost childhood. The grey dusk was heavy with an indifferent loneliness, which was threatening to overcome the rest of the night. It was painful..." A coveted life (সাধপূরণ)— short story by Mimi Radhakrishnan, translated into English by Paulami Sengupta: "She had said this to that restless and lively Dororthy a number of times. Dororthy would smile and laugh and ask for an exchange of roles. She suggested that they could go to the church and pray for it—in pure hearts..." Shakti's singing (শক্তির গান গাওয়া)—Samir Sengupta's memoir of famous Bengali poet Shakti Chattopadhyay. Translated from Bengali by Bhaswati Ghosh. This includes audio recordings of four songs. "Late one evening during the searing summer of 1961-62, sitting on the broken steps of Ganga next to the Nimtala crematorium, Shakti had sung this song—bare chested, stubble on his face, a rag-wrapped marijuana chillum in one hand, and the other hand splayed, like a beggar king, towards the darkening river..."Recent additions:
